Featured Recipe: Competition-Style Ribs

A rack of perfectly smoked competition-style ribs, glistening with sauce

Championship Baby Back Ribs

Ingredients:

  • 2 racks baby back ribs (2.5-3 lbs each)
  • 1/2 cup 'Sweet & Smoky Classic Rub' (our shop!)
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 cup apple juice
  • 1/2 cup 'Competition Glaze BBQ Sauce'

Instructions:

  1. Remove membrane from ribs. Apply rub generously.
  2. Smoke at 275°F for 3 hours (spritz every hour).
  3. Wrap in foil with apple cider vinegar & apple juice. Smoke for 2 more hours.
  4. Unwrap, apply glaze, and smoke for 30-45 minutes until tacky.
  5. Rest for 15 minutes, slice, and serve.
